Born in Rome on May 18, 1958, he obtained a degree in Classical Percussion at the Academy of Music in L'Aquila.
Since 1975 he has been working professionally with a lot of Italian and foreign musicians. He is member of the Paolo Fresu quintet from its birth (voted best Italian group for 1990 and 1991).
